From the ALCER Castalia Sexology and Couples Therapy service we comprehensively address the problems derived from Chronic Kidney Failure in any of its phases: diagnosis, follow-up, ACKD, dialysis and transplant.

The reason and main objective that we pursue with this service is to improve the quality of life and adaptation, both of the kidney person and their partner, since it affects all areas of life; and sexuality, sensuality, eroticism and pleasure are part of our health in general, and sexual and reproductive health, in particular.

We have to preserve and increase the quality of life of the kidney group and their partners. How can we do it? Identifying the individual moments and situations or in the relationship that involve emotional ups and downs, that are repeated and/or maintained over time and that generate discomfort for one or both people. And sometimes they even lead to levels of discomfort and behaviors that affect the family, being reflected in work, self-care, communication, food, exercise, sleep, among many other possibilities.

For all this, we offer you a professional space where you can express your doubts, questions and emotions so that you can obtain information, advice and support on those issues that may cause difficulties in desire, excitement, lubrication and/or pleasure. that adjusts to the current characteristics and needs of each person or couple in relation to chronic kidney disease (CKD).

This space focuses on security, confidentiality and respect; so do not hesitate to consult with ALCER Castalia and request your appointment. We are waiting for you.

The person in charge of this Service is Zoraida Granados, psychologist, educational psychologist, sexologist, couples therapist, family therapist and psycho-oncologist.
